Employee of the Quarter Spotlight: Jacob Stone

Stone is an Assistant Manager in the Contact Center who has been with the company more than five years. Brightway named him Employee of the Quarter for demonstrating the Core Value ‘Trustworthy.’


How long have you worked at Brightway?  
Five years as of February 2021. I started out as a Customer Service Representative and was promoted to the Unit Lead role. I spent a year in that position getting exposure to training, special projects and escalations and then transitioned to being a Team Lead. I was a Team Lead for the last 3.5 years and had the opportunity to manage our Processing, Routing and Phone service teams. Most recently, I was selected to be an Assistant Manager for Service with several teams including Commercial, Agency Billed, Routing and Phones that I help support. I enjoy being part of Brightway and look forward to continuing to grow and develop with the organization.

What is your favorite part of your job?  
I enjoy that I have the opportunity to take on challenges and projects that have an impact on my teams and the Service organization.

What advice do you have for other employees? 
Be a sponge and always willing to learn and grow. You never know what opportunities may come available.

If a movie were made of your life, what genre would it be and who would play you?
Not sure about movie but maybe a TV show with a vibe similar to The Office/Parks and Recreation?  

If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why? 
My Grandmother. She passed when I was a baby, and I would love to get the chance to speak with her.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I think it would be a toss-up between pasta or fried chicken. Love my carbs.

If you could befriend any fictional character, who do you choose and why?
Sherlock Holmes – Who wouldn’t want to be friends with the world’s greatest detective?
